But before buying a domain name, selection of a better domain name plays a vital role. This post will be a guide to those people who are looking to buy a domain for their websites.

With the development of blogging as a home business, creation of blogs getting more and more popular. With the frequent upgrades of search engines, to have a top level domain in current blogging context has becoming increasingly essential. Most of the sub-domains are not given priority anymore by search engines due to increasing amount of spams coming through those sub-domains.

1. Your New domain name should be a Top Level Domain name

No need to say that your new domain should be a Top Level domain. Top level domain is a domain like www.yoursite.com. On the other hand sub-domain is a domain like www.yoursite.blogspot.com. I think you got the difference between Top level domain and a sub domain.

2. Buy domain name of .com, .net or .org

This is the next most important point on selecting a domain name for your blog. There are many type of domains you will see when you are searching for buying a domain name. As examples there are .co, .info, .me, .xxx, .mobi and etc… But those domains are not working as good as .com, .net and .org domains. The best domain name to buy is .com domains. They are famous and they can be easily memorized by the visitors. And also they are good for seo and search engine rankings.

3. Buy a short but descriptive domain name

Short domains are easy to remember. But just think you have selected a top level domain like this www.wmits.com, it is bit hard to remember even though it is short. That’s why I said it should be descriptive. If you can’t find a good short top level domain name to buy, select a domain name that make some sense to your readers. As an example www.watermarkitsolutions.com. I think you can remember this domain easily than the previous one which consists of just five letters.

4. Domain should be easily understood

when buying a domain you should select it for your readers. That simply means you need to select a domain which should be easily readable and easily understood by others. Then they will remember it easily

5. Don’t add any of the unnecessary characters in to your buying domain name

I have seen most of the webmasters are using hyphens inside their domain name when they couldn’t find the desired domain name due to availability matter. Never ever do this. Don’t add those hyphens or any other characters inside your domain name. A simple mistake done by your reader will do a chance for your competitor. They your customer will become a customer of your competitor.

6. Add your targeted keywords in to it before you buying a domain name

As we all know keywords play a vital role in search engine ranking and online money making. To make your targeted keywords effective just add them in to your domain too. This will be a most important determinant of your success or failure in online business. And it will be important in brand making too.

7. Buying expired domain work effectively on search engines

Buying a domain name which is expired work better than a buying a brand new domain name. That is because the age factor of the domain name plays an important role on search engines while ranking on them. The 5 months old domain ranked better than a 2 month old domain on a search engine. This may be due to the existing backlinks of that aged domain.

8. Domain name should be relevant to the content of the site

If you are maintaining a beauty culture website and if you used your domain as www.techblaster.net, it will be not appropriate. So it is important to select a domain which is closely related to your blog’s content. Then only people will remember your domain name.

9. Check for back links and Google PR if you are buying a expired domain name

If you are buying a domain name which is expired, it is better to check your domain for existing backlinks and Google Page Rank.

10. Use Trusted Service to buy domain name

Even though I have mentioned this as last point of this post, this is one of the most important point to remember. First check the how long they are in the domain selling business? Is it a registered company? Then check for their customer support. How long will they take to respond to your queries? Are they friendly and really taking your problems as serious. If you feel they don’t have good customer support, never ever buy a domain from that site. At the moment I am using Godaddy and Namecheap as my domain providers.

Well, those are the 10 most important factors you should consider while selecting a domain name for your website. Finally what I want to say is buy domain name from a trusted domain name provider. Otherwise all your hard effort will be destroyed by non experienced domain sellers.

0 Updated tabs of old blogger platform to design new platform

Blogger introduced a new platform few months back. But most of our blogger widget and tips tutorials are based on old blogger platform. So most of our blog readers asks questions from us like what is “Dashboard”? Where can I find “Design” tab?. But it is very difficult to update each and every posts according to blogger new platform. So I decided to make a post by explaining the component of blogger new platform.

This will help you to apply our previously posted tips on your blogger blog without struggling anymore. And also I am asking you to share this for the benefit of your fellow bloggers. Here is the list of components I am going to explain under this post. Click on the topic to jump in to the explanation.

1. What is “Dashboard”

Dashboard is the place where your all blogs are listed. Your all the blogs are appears as a list on this page. Here you can select what ever a blog that you want to edit. Following is a Screenshot of my blogger Dashboard (Click on the Image to Enlarge).

2. What is “Design”

The old blogger platform had a option called Design, where you can arrange your gadgets in an order that you want. By clicking on “Design” tab you was able to add new gadgets to your blogger blog easily. But the new blogger platform doesn’t consist of a “Design” tab. The equal component to “Design” tab appears with the name of “Layout”. Check the following screenshot (Click on the Image to Enlarge)

Once you clicked on this “Layout” tab you will see the following screenshot which is equal to clicking on “Design” tab of the old blogger platform.

3. What is “Design >> Edit HTML”

In old blogger platform you have to edit your blogger template by going through Two steps. First you have to click on “Design” tab and then you have to click on “Edit HTML” tab. So it is easy. But the new blogger platform made it more complex, even though it provides a direct link to template through your template.

I would like to make it bit more simple. Just imaging you see a blogger tip that tells ” Go to DESIGN >> EDIT HTML”. After seen it what you need to do in new blogger platform is just visit your dashboard and click on the drop down arrow and then click on “Template” link as I shown below (Click on the Image to Enlarge).

But after you clicked on “Template” tab as I shown above, they will be taken you to another page where you can see a tab called “Edit HTML”, you need to click on this too (Check the Image below).

Then again you will see another window where you will see a tab called “Proceed”. After clicking on “Proceed” tab you will able to edit your template. So it takes three steps and the process is bit complicated than the old blogger template.

4. How to Expand Widget Templates

Read the 3rd point (What is DESIGN >> EDIT HTML). Do that process. At the end you will come to the page where you can edit your template (This page display your blogger template codes). Once you reach it you will see a check box at the top left corner of the page says “Expand Widget Templates”. Add a tick on that box to expand your widget templates (Check the Screenshot below)

In the Google PPC (Pay-Per-Click) program, which Google Adwords can pay the most money to AdSense publishers for AdSense clicks?

I began compiling my own top-paying keyword word list by using the free, public Overture Bid Tool, which is now gone. However, you can now check your words using the Free Google AdWords Keyword Suggestion Tool.

On Feb. 2, 2009, I revised this list of top-bid, top-paying key words, using the Google Ad Words free Keyword Tool. Below, you can compare current keyword bids with old Overture bids from 2004.

On Mar. 21, 2012, I revised this list of top-bid, top-paying key words, using the Google Ad Words free Keyword Tool. Below, you can compare current keyword bids with old AdSense Tool bids from 2009. THE 2012 BIDS HAVE FALLEN THROUGH THE FLOOR. I have no idea why. Were the previous prices quoted simply ridiculous? That's the only thing that makes sense to me.

0 Double or Triple your AdSense Earnings

Google AdSense is the best PPC advertising program so far. It shares thousands of dollars among its partner sites per month. Most webmasters are keen to add Google AdSense ad units on their own blog. But it is not easy to get approval from AdSense team.

Once in past I tried a lot to get Google AdSense on my blog. You may think why it is that difficult to sing up with AdSense even with hundreds of posts on my blog. No, those daysI didn’t have a blog like this. It is just a basic blog with only 10-12 posts. Now you may think the blogs with few posts will not be accepted by Google AdSense. Of course yes. They don’t like blogs with few numbers of posts. In other words they love blogs with huge content. That is why once we said “Content is the King“.

Anyway I worked hard and finally I was able to sign up with Google AdSense. Then I was very happy. I thought I won the whole world. And I thought I will become a rich man with in next few months. But unfortunately I was wrong. Within the first month I got only one click. I still remember the amount I earned from AdSense during the first month after approving my AdSense account. It is less than one dollar (I can’t mention the amount, because it is against the AdSense TOS). It came from India. Then I went mad, but never did illegal things to earn money such as illegal clicks.

Then I went everywhere to read on AdSense. The first place I read is AdSense policies. I think they are still embedded in my mind. Then I read every possible source to learn about AdSense and how to improve the income from AdSense. After reading I understood one thing clearly. That is if I want more clicks, I want to bring more visitors. Then another problem came out. You can imagine it; that is howto get more visitors to my blog. Then I read everywhere to find how to get traffic to my blog. Finally I was able to get sufficient amount of traffic to my blog by implementing the strategies I learned from those articles. But here I am not going to show you how to increase your AdSense income by increasing your traffic. Everyone knows it. Here we are going to discuss the way to increase the amount of your income by just doing some adjustment to your AdSense ad units.

Following are the three main steps we are going to implement on our ad unit.

1. Remove the Google AdSense Border

As you seen AdSense ad units are surrounded by a border. The upper part of the text box says “Ads by Google” earlier, now it says “Adchoice”. Your target is to re-assemble the AdSense units similar to your content. But, how to do it? I tried to remove the border. But it didn’t work since Google not allow you to delete the border of ad units. But you can change the color of the border. I can see you got my point. Now change it to your template color. If your links colors are red change the AdSense links colors to red. Then people will think those links are from your site.

Well these three simple adjustments made me a lot of money from AdSense. I was able to increase my income from AdSense by 40-50% by applying these simple tips.

Another one important word to say. That is most people are saying about “AdSense secrets”. But I want to stress you the secret is “There are nosecrets”. If there are any secrets they will implement it by themselves and earn money. They will not come to teach you those secrets and earn money. I think you got my point, aren’t you?
